On TUESDAY, the school celebrated the class of 2023’s Mr. and Miss HBA, Timothy Shimizu and Caley Chun, in the yearbook assembly.
On WEDNESDAY, during Senior Chapel, staff and faculty came together to pray for the Class of 2023.
On THURSDAY, therapy dogs visited middle and high school students.

TOMORROW marks the final school day for the seniors at HBA and the school will celebrate with the annual senior send-off at the end of the school day.

HBA’s 2023 yearbook-yet to be released-came in f HBA’s 2023 yearbook-yet to be released-came in first in the Photography and Copy/Captions categories in the annual yearbook contest held by Herff Jones Hawaii, the yearbook’s publisher. Co-editors Cori Matsumoto (‘23) and Marissa Watanabe (‘23) received the awards yesterday on behalf of the yearbook staff.

From the HBA Communications office: “While we re From the HBA Communications office: “While we remained hopeful this morning that the power and Internet would be restored to our upper campuses, our middle school and high school campuses remain without power and Internet, which is a challenge for instruction. 

In addition, our FLIK kitchen is also not fully operational.  FLIK is bringing sandwiches from our elementary campus to our upper campuses so that our students can purchase food, if they do not have home lunch.
 
For all of these reasons, we made the difficult decision to end the school day early.  However, our staff and faculty will remain on campus for regular school hours.  You can pick up your child anytime starting at 11:00am and before 2:45pm. “
